Pleasing, Harry Styles’ New Gender-Neutral Beauty Brand

Pleasing, Harry Styles’ New Gender-Neutral Beauty Brand

Harry Styles, an award-winning singer, songwriter, actor, worldwide superstar, non-binary activist, the list goes on when talking about the former member of One Direction. But as of November 2021, we will officially add another adjective to the long long list; a beauty brand owner called Pleasing.

The new beauty line, Pleasing, was announced in Dazed magazine’s winter issue on November 15 alongside an Instagram post on its official account.

About Pleasing

With the tagline “Find your pleasing”, the brand “brings joyful experiences and products that excite the senses and blur the boundaries”. Overall, the name and the products was inspired by pearls, which Styles frequently wears. Then, over the years, it has become a ort of an “ode to the beauty found in a simple shell.”

The brand describes itself as a “life brand”. Additionally, it celebrates “the multitude of unique identities in our community”. Thus, it aspires to shed the outdated beauty philosophy to conceal and hide. Rather, Styles hopes his brand will “illuminate” and “highlight” the beauty of each individual and “dispel the myth of a binary existence”. In a nutshell, Pleasing is about celebrating and encouraging customers to be themselves.

The products

Pleasing will release products in a drop-style format. First, the brand will launch their first ever nail polishes. They will be available in four different colors whose names are all inspired by pearls; Perfect Pearl, Granny’s Pearl, Inky Pearl and Pearly Tops. All products will have matte finish with iridescent formula, except for Perfect Pearl who will have a glossy finish.

Together with the polishes, Pleasing is also coming with their first ever moisturizing antioxidant serum, called “The Pearlescent Illuminating Serum”, and serum-filled roller pen named “The Pleasing Pen”.

For this first-ever drop, Pleasing has partnered with Nest, a nonprofit organization supporting responsible growth and creative engagement. It particularly focuses on encouraging artisans & maker economy to build a world of greater gender equity and economic inclusion. Through programs that support the wellbeing of artisans both in the United States and globally, Nest is bringing radical transparency and opportunity to the informal handworker economy.

All products are available for pre-order start from November 29 through the Pleasing official website. Grab yours fast!
