The answer really depends on how you look at it. Our first impressions: it looks like a hair straightener so how revolutionary can it really be? There are a lot of hair straighteners out there, GHD being one of the best among them. So how can the Dyson Corrale be any different?
Take a deeper look and you’ll realise that the difference lies in the technology. The first and most important factor being that the Corrale has flexible iron plates. Bendable manganese copper alloy strips lay on top of microhinges, letting them bend according to the hair’s thickness, so every angle is heated. When hair is enveloped this way, less heat is required to bend hair’s structure, making it much healthier for your tresses.
The second difference is its smart cordless design. You can hardly find other straighteners that come cordless; all you need to do is charge the device up to 70 minutes to its charging dock, which can also be used as a device stand to get 30 minutes of cordless styling time. There are three heat settings to choose from; 165°C, 185°C and 210°C, which we only recommend to curlier hair types.
And if you need to pack it with you on your travels, there’s a chic heat-resistant pouch that comes with it, which also doubles up as a heat proof mats. Overall, it’s definitely a cut above the rest and worth its hefty RM2,199 pricetag.
The Dyson Corrale is available at all Dyson stores.
